Hey Rick I predicted you'd do it but I hadn't foreseen by how much you'd smash the old record. Unbelievable. What an inspirational achievement by you and your support crew. You all looked great in the local Omani papers at John O'Groats, and the sun shone on your crowning glory. The site doesn't tell us how much you raised but I imagine it was a princely sum. I'm proud of what you have done and proud to call you a friend. Take care big fella.

Dick Kells said:   August 30, 2009 6:24 pm PST
Conratulations, Rick and crew!! You're an inspiration to all of us armchair cheerleaders. Keep up the good work. What's next...crossing the English Channel in an arm-powered paddle boat?

Just spotted the Ride for Remembrance crew on the A38 between Kidderminster and Wolverhampton. My wife pulled over and I was intrigued about what was happening. I spoke to a great bunch of guys and they explained the world record attempt. My deep admiration goes out to Rick and all his support crew. I only had a few short minutes with them but realised what a great achievement they are making and already have made. I'm a big outdoor and biking fan and realise the physical effort made in such an epic attempt. Good luck to you all. My pledge will be made...
